ARCSA's Accredited Inspector Workshop is an Advanced Rainwater Harvesting Specialized course open to the public or any industry professional but to be an ARCSA Inspector Specialist (IS), an individual must first be a current ARCSA Accredited Professional. This one-day workshop is designed to give attendees the tools needed to make rainwater harvesting system inspections. The course is required for anyone seeking the ARCSA Inspector Specialist (IS) designation. Participants will review parts of rainwater harvesting system, study how to develop an initial assessment of the system, fill out an inspection checklist while making the initial visual inspection of a system and making follow-up inspections.
Requirements for the Inspector Specialist (IS) recognition include:
1. Completion of the 1 day workshop ($195)
2. AP Certification
3. ARCSA membership
4. Application and testing fee $50
The workshop will go over a checklist that evaluates a system from sizing, condition and function from roof to end use. Students will learn how to make initial assessments, follow-up inspections, review codes, discuss local codes, and work with system owners/managers to insure proper function and maintenance of a system.
It is recommended that participants bring a laptop computer capable of using Word documents, Excel and a calculator.
Completion of ARCSA's RWHM workshop is recommended as a pre-requisite to this course, as it provides in-depth instruction on the calculations, material and specific parts that will be inspected in this workshop. And to be recognized as an ARCSA Inspector Specialist (IS), an individual must be a current ARCSA Accredited Professional.
Cost for this workshop includes lunches and snacks, as well as educational and workshop materials.
ARCSA Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests received two weeks prior to the start of an event will receive a full refund less a $50 processing fee. In lieu of cancelling, you may choose to substitute another person for your registration for a $10 processing fee.
ARCSA reserves the right to make changes to event programs and speakers and/or to cancel events due to circumstances beyond its control. Every effort will be made to contact each enrollee if an event is cancelled. ARCSA's liability for a cancelled event is limited to the refund of the program fee only or substitution/enrollment in another ARCSA workshop. By registering for an event, the registrant signifies his or her acceptance of this policy.
