Rainwater Management Solutions 2

Rainwater Management Solutions' project is for institutional use at the Williamson Road Fire Station in Roanoke, Virginia. Average annual rainfall for the area is 42 inches. The installation was designed to manage stormwater runoff on site, and help allow the facility to apply for LEED certification. The water collected is used to wash fire trucks, flush toilets, irrigate, and provide potable water for emergency first responders. Rainwater is harvested off of the 9,000 sq.ft. roof and diverted through two self-cleaning Wisy 150 vortex filters. Water is stored in a 10,000 gallon below ground fiberglass tank. Additional rainwater components include two Wisy smoothing inlets, two Wisy 2" coarse floating filters, and UV light purification system. Rainwater Management Solutions provided all the rainwater harvesting components. The installed filters ensure the tank will never require cleaning and no products will require replacement. The fire house is also conserving municipally supplied water for drinking water needs. For more information, contact Rainwater Management Solutions.
