Denis Rochat, President/CEO Rainwater Resources™, entered the water treatment business in 1983 in Akron, OH. In 1988 he opted to move his base of operations and his growing family (ultimately nine children) to his hometown, Knoxville, TN. Denis Rochat has owned and operated Perfect Water™, a water conditioning/treatment business in Knoxville since 1997.
In 2010 Denis became interested in the process of harvesting rainwater. Traveling across the U.S. to become informed on the subject, Denis became convinced rainwater harvesting was consistent with his interest in sustainability and passionate appreciation of good, clean water. By 2011 Denis had formed Rainwater Resources™, actively pioneering the service in Knoxville and across Tennessee. In Knoxville Denis received the first government approval for potable use of rainwater in a new residence for a custom home builder. He also designed and installed rainwater harvesting systems at Ijams Nature Center and Halls High School. Scattered across Tennessee Denis has clients whose residences are solely reliant on rainwater. Today Rainwater Resources ™ employs 13 men and women, has representation in Nashville and is the Tennessee representative for CorGal galvanized, corrugated steel cisterns.
Denis is a Certified Water Specialist VI with extended studies in reverse osmosis, ozone, de-ionization, microbiological and ultra-filtration. He is an American Rainwater Catchment Association (ARCSA) accredited Professional and an ARCSA Certified Inspector Specialist. Denis is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation as a water treatment installer.
Rainwater Resources™ and Perfect Water™ are members of USGBC (US Green Building Council - Knoxville Chapter), WQA (Water Quality Association), The Tennessee Stormwater Association and the Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville.
