FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 28, 2014
The American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (ARCSA.org, 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit) is the preeminent national educational and technical organization offering accreditation for rainwater-harvesting professionals. Today, ARCSA proudly announces they have joined with the Cabell Brand Center (cabellbrandcenter.org) to pen a Memorandum of Understanding that will compound both organizations mission-fulfillment capability and yield significant benefits to the global community as well.
The Cabell Brand Center’s President, Dr. Tamim Younos, PhD, is an award-winning author, lecturer and research professor, whose wide-ranging expertise parallels ARCSA’s mission in his study of water- and energy nexus, decentralized water infrastructure, sustainable living and water supply alternatives.
ARCSA’s mission is to promote sustainable rainwater harvesting practices to help solve potable, non-potable, stormwater and energy challenges throughout the world.
Both organizations are dedicated to global water-resource sustainability through knowledge transfer and capacity building. These organizations recognize that rainwater and stormwater are underutilized resources and that their harvest and appropriate uses can alleviate water challenges related to scarcity and poor quality of existing potable and non-potable water sources, stormwater runoff management and energy consumption.
ARCSA is gathering funds, experts and technical writers to create a comprehensive new national rainwater harvesting manual and is soliciting tax-deductible donations for that and general operational purposes. In addition, we have many sponsorship and advertising opportunities. For more information, please contact Heather Kinkade, Executive Director ARCSA, at 512-617-6528 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
