I have enjoyed the privilege of working for Conservation Districts for the bulk of my career, spending six years with the Sherman County SWCD and a short time with the Marion SWCD before arriving in Clackamas County in 2009. I graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. While with SWCD’s I have spent significant time designing erosion control structures in cropland, working with pasture and range managers to improve the function and health of their pastures, and am currently managing the implementation of a Rainwater Harvesting grant for a local edible plant nursery. As the Small Farms Specialist, my focus is to provide assistance to landowners whose needs fall outside the scope of traditional agricultural programs.
