Teresa Morales, P.E. is the Oregon Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) State Design Engineer. The USDA-NRCS works with landowners through conservation planning and technical assistance designed to benefit the soil, water, air, plants, and animals that result in productive lands and healthy ecosystems. Teresa works on a host of different civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering projects related to conservation. She is currently developing technical guidance for Oregon NRCS on the design and implementation of rainwater harvesting systems. She also recently co-authored a technical manual on the design of solar-powered livestock watering systems for the USDA-NRCS. She thoroughly enjoys the diversity and challenges of her job.
