Eddie Van Giesen’s interest in the rainwater harvesting industry began in late 2007 when he joined ARCSA. He has extensive experience in the installation of both commercial and residential systems rainwater systems. Eddie assisted in developing plumbing codes that allow the use of rainwater in the states of Georgia and North Carolina. He will be doing similar work in the state of South Carolina later this year. He serves on IAPMO’s alternative water committee and is active in the ICC’s development of the IGCC (Green Code Overlay Publication). He was principle author for the Georgia Rainwater harvesting Guidelines published in September 2009. He resides in Watkinsville Ga. with his wife Viviane and his three children Cedric, Ian and Isabella. He currently serves as Brae’s policy coordinator and regulatory affairs advisor.
