60,000 square feet of roof. Utilizing a above ground 15,000 gallon fiberglass tank custom built and designed with a 500 gallon daytank and triplex pump. The water will be treated with UV and dye injection systems and then sent to the new addition toilet rooms for toilet flushing. The Rainwater tanks, pump and treatment skid will all be labeled and viewed through windows within the concourse at the airport for educational purposes for all visitors to the Syracuse Airport. The airport is owned by the city of Syracuse and they have a combined Sewer/Storm system in Syracuse which frequent back ups in heavy rain has helped cause the local lake, Onondaga Lake, to be historically one of the most polluted lakes in the country. The city and county both, have made a concerted effort to stop as much storm water as possible through various initiatives, including one federally funded county program titled "Save the Rain".
