Bio: Russ Jackson
Shortly after graduating from the Georgia Tech in 1999, Russ Jackson installed his first rainwater harvesting system as part of a volunteer school construction project in Cross Keys, Jamaica. The formative experience Russ had in Jamaica was the catalyst for his pursuit of a career in water sustainability. Upon returning to the US Russ again attended Georgia Tech and received his Master's Degree in Integrated Project Delivery Systems.
Armed with years of construction management experience and education Russ started Atlanta's first full service rainwater harvesting design and installation firm. Since that time Russ has co-authored the Atlanta Potable Rainwater Ordinance, been a founding member of SERHSA, and made numerous public speaking appearances at water related conferences and technical symposiums around the US. Currently Russ sits on the Rainwater Harvesting Design Standards Committee for the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, the Rainwater Harvesting Design Standards Committee for the Irrigation Association, and is Vice President of Sales for the largest distributor of rainwater harvesting system components in North America, Rainharvest Systems. Russ is also a LEED AP and an American Rainwater Catchment System Association AP.
