Bio: Jack Holmgreen
Share |
Jack Holmgreen is a lifetime member of the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (ARCSA), an Accredited Professional rainwater designer, Licensed Water Treatment Specialist, author, consultant and President of SparkleTap Water Company in League City, Texas. He's currently earning a Rainwater Harvesting Master credential and has been involved with the Education Committee during the development of that program.

Jack designed and installed a potable rainwater system in Houston in 2009 and helped the city adopt amendments to the 2009 UPC Code that allow rainwater systems in the city. Jack also designed and arranged donations for the Galveston Historical Foundation Green Revival Home, a restored Ike-damaged Victorian home. Jack is currently consulting on the Houston Zoo's new Gorilla Habitat, a constructed rainforest jungle with ponds filled with rainwater each day.

Jack has rainwater to irrigate his victory garden of organic vegetables at home and probably stuck his first trash can under a downspout in the early 70's. So rainwater is literally in his blood, and he understands how important it is to conserve and manage this vital resource.
