FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - November 11, 2014

ARCSA, the preeminent national educational and technical nonprofit dedicated to the promotion of rainwater harvesting to help solve potable, non-potable, stormwater and energy challenges, and the Cabell Brand Center, a pioneering organization in rainwater harvesting systems research and design, have collaborated to produce a case study, "Single-Family Home Rainwater-Harvesting System Demonstration Project For Stormwater-Runoff Control and Utility-Water Saving."

Three years of data, gathered between 2011 and 2014 demonstrate that a well-designed and maintained rainwater-harvesting system can 1) significantly reduce the amount of water required from a public utility; 2) deliver very-high-quality water that exceeds the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Drinking Water Standards at a competitive price; and 3) avoid stormwater runoff.
