Newton Crouch Inc. designed this commercial installation at their offices at 890 East Solomon St. in Griffin, Georgia. This area historically receives over 50 inches of rainfall per year, but that number has declined as Georgia has been experiencing one of the worst droughts in that state's history. This system harvests water from a business roof, and is used for watering the landscape. The pump is outfitted with a quick connect assembly and a clear housing in-line with strainer stainless steel mesh to ensure no debris enters the pump. The user can snap the pump on, use the system, then remove the pump. This allows the user to use a single pump with more than one tank, making the system more economical.

The overflow dumps into established landscaping. Conveyance is though aluminum and plastic flex gutters, with storage in a Norwesco 305 black poly tank. The basket mesh filter is also from Norwesco, and the in-line strainer preceeds a Shurflo pump, 3.3 gpm assembly, though the system also works via gravity feed. NCI sells this system as a complete kit. The kit contains tank, mesh basket filter, overflow assembly, ball valve assembly ready for garden hose or pump. The pump is optional and comes in 12 V or 115 V models. Simple instructions and minimal setup make this a quick start for someone wishing to harvest rainwater in quantity greater than a standard barrel.
